Ace Combat Assault Horizon Coming to Xbox LIVE Games on Demand, PlayStation Network Mid-December; PC Early 2013

The Battle for Aerial Supremacy Enters the Digital Download Arena.

SAN JOSE, Calif,. – November 27, 2012 - NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today announces that ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON will be available for purchase via the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system today and on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on December 18, 2012. The game will also be available on Windows PC for the first time ever via digital download purchase in Q1 2013.

ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON brings a new intensity to the beloved flight combat franchise, escalating aerial combat to the next level with aircraft that are literally torn apart, spewing oil and debris across the sky when destroyed. Players will engage in intense single-player, co-op and online multiplayer combat over real world locations around the globe while dodging skyscrapers and turning enemies into fiery supersonic debris. The game introduces a revolutionary close-range assault system that delivers high-speed acrobatics and one-on-one encounters to make dogfights more tense and exciting.

Making its debut on PC Q1 of 2013; ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON: Enhanced Edition features controls and graphics that have been optimized specifically for PC users. The PC version will include many of the DLC items released on the console versions of the game. Players will have immediate access to seven additional aircrafts and numerous aircraft skins as well as skills and maps.The multiplayer portion of the game will feature support through Games for Windows® from Microsoft. The game will be available for purchase via Steam®.

Available exclusively on the PlayStation®Store the ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON + DLC Pack  will include the original PlayStation®3 game along with the Tokyo and Honolulu maps as well as six additional aircraft including the ASF-X Shinden II, F-15S/MTD, Su-37 Terminator, AV-8B Harrier II plus, CFA-44 Nosferatu , and Ka-50 Hokum.

All of the aerial combat action from the original release of ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON will be made available for purchase for the first time ever on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand on December 18, 2012.

ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON originally launched in 2011 to critical acclaim. PlayStation The Official Magazine scored the game 9 out of 10 and said, “The most intense fun we’ve had in any game in a long time” while Official Xbox Magazine remarked on the game’s  “Exhilarating dogfights”. Online game critics were also enthusiastic about the game with Destructoid.com calling ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON “A complete revitalization of the series” and Kotaku.com saying “The best bang for my flying buck”.

Rated T for Teen by the ESRB, ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Network for $19.99 for the stand-alone game and $29.99 for the ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON + DLC Pack. The game will also be available on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand for $19.99. PC fans will be able to purchase ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON: Enhanced Edition on STEAM for $34.99 in Q1 of 2013.

A new game patch was also made available today at 9:00am GMT or 1:00am PST for players that already own the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. This new patch will feature balancing and other minor gameplay adjustments and will also address multiplayer exploit issues. Lastly, service will sunset for the ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON Game Integrated Web Site.
