Amazon.com started selling WiiWare game download tickets today. The first WiiWare game to be listed is World of Goo and it marks the first time a downloadable WiiWare title has been available for purchase outside of the Wii Shop Channel.
World of Goo is selling for $14.99 on Amazon.com, which is the same price you would pay if you bought it through your Wii. After purchasing the game on Amazon.com, they send you an email with the Wii Download Ticket that you have to enter in the Wii Shop Channel to redeem the purchase.
Currently, World of Goo is the only WiiWare title that Amazon.com is selling, but I am guessing that if it sells well then other games will appear on the online retailer’s site for purchase.
