Big Fish Games Expands to Five New Language Portals

Big Fish Games Now Available in 10 Languages.

SEATTLE – Nov. 18, 2010 – Big Fish Games (http://www.bigfishgames.com)  announced today that it is expanding its direct-to-consumer reach with the launch of five additional language portals – Brazilian Portuguese (http://www.bigfishgames.com.br) , Danish (http://www.bigfishgames.dk), Dutch (http://www.bigfishgames.nl), Italian (http://www.bigfishgames.it) , and Swedish (http://www.bigfishgames.se) – all with fully localized games and native-language customer service. Simultaneously, the company is expanding its currency offering and is now taking payment for games in 16 currencies. For eight consecutive years, Big Fish Games has grown its content and distribution franchise, resulting in consistent and robust subscriber, revenue and profit growth. 2009 revenues exceeded $100 million; 2010 is expected to show substantial double-digit growth.

“Today we have customers in more than 200 countries and greater than 50 percent of our sales come from international markets,” said Jeremy Lewis, president and chief executive officer of Big Fish Games. “We will continue to invest towards expanding our brand reach to meet the huge demand for premium casual game entertainment in developed and emerging markets.”

The new portals and payment options meaningfully benefit Big Fish Games consumers and game development partners alike. Customers can enjoy games in their native languages and transact in local currencies. Game development partners can earn incremental revenue with the substantially increased audience exposure. There are more than 300 million people worldwide who speak at least one of the five new languages offered.

Currencies supported include the Argentine peso, Australian dollar, Brazilian real, British pound, Canadian dollar, Danish krone, euro, Japanese yen, Mexican peso, New Zealand dollar, Norwegian kroner, South African rand, Singapore dollar, Swedish krona, Swiss franc and U.S. dollar. Big Fish Games portals are available in Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

In addition to its online portals, Big Fish Games also has retail presence in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxemburg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, the U.K. and the U.S.
