Championship Gaming Series and Creative Announce Partnership

The deal will see the creation of an elite line of gaming accessories and Creative Sound Blaster is now the official sound card of CGS.

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Championship Gaming SeriesTM (CGS), the only worldwide professional video gaming league, and Creative, a worldwide leader in digital entertainment, today announced a global strategic partnership. As the new official supplier of sound cards, sound processors and headsets to CGS, Creative will work with the League to develop an elite line of CGS-approved gaming accessories which have been battle-tested by CGS pro gamers under extreme conditions and approved by CGS for the highest level of professional gaming competition. The products will include equipment from the Sound Blaster® X-Fi® Xtreme Audio family, Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer family, Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty family and Fatal1ty Gaming Headset family.

Pro gamers will include Yazan “clowN” Ammari of San Francisco Optx, playing Counter-Strike:Source and Felipe “Kreegan” Stoyne of L.A. compLexity, playing FIFA 07. Exclusive CGS commentator and global spokesman Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the world’s most successful pro gamer, will also showcase his skills in Quake4 exhibitions against CES attendees.
