Bringing new meaning to the term “power suit…”
Born to a wealthy socialite family, Alexander (Lex) Luthor spent much of his teen years in Smallville, Kansas, under the care of his Aunt Lena. The hope was that fresh air and small town values would cure Lex of his annoying need to act like he was always the smartest guy in the room.
Of course, acting like the smartest guy in the room didn’t do much to help him make friends, so he went elsewhere, if for no other reason than to prove to everyone that he was in fact the smartest guy in ANY room. His efforts led him to become a captain of industry, and even occupied the most powerful office in the world: the Oval Office. But somehow, he always came in second….
…to a certain Kryptonian immigrant with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men…
So in his arrogance, Lex needs to prove that his genius knows no limit, and that’s what makes him better than that “strange visitor from another planet…”
Here’s a bit of trivia: DC Universe Online writer and comics veteran Marv Wolfman is responsible for Luthor’s transition from evil genius/mad scientist to evil genius/corporate raider/business tycoon.
