DUALSHOCK 3 Compatibility List

The DUALSHOCK 3 controller for the PlayStation 3 will be making its way into stores next week and Sony has released a full list of all the games that will be compatible with the new controller, mind you that you can still use it on other titles, but you won’t get the rumble that gamers apparently needed to have since there have been complaints since the day the SIXAXIS was announced not to feature force feedback. I only have one game from that list above for PS3, it is Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. I have Burnout Paradise, but it is for Xbox 360 and already features rumble. :)

I could’ve gotten Folklore for around $15 on clearance at Target a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t remember if it was good and I didn’t know if I would have time to play an RPG anyways.

I am glad I didn’t buy a bunch of PS3 SIXAXIS controllers after getting my PS3, since I would’ve been irritated that they now featured rumble. I only have 2 SIXAXIS controllers, but I might be willing to buy 2 more DUALSHOCK 3 controllers, so I have enough controllers for 4-player gaming. I don’t think I will be rushing out next week to get 2 more, but I might be curious to at least get one to try.

Are you going to buy a DUALSHOCK 3 controller next week?

Which games do you own that will be compatible?

No kidding. I only have the one that came with the system. I would be heated if I had spent $150 on SIXAXIS controllers, only to find out that I should have spent $165 on DUALSHOCK 3’s a few months later.

And for the record Motorstorm and Lost, which happen to be the only two games I own both support the controller. I’ll have to pick one up eventually, but I’m in no hurry.
