How about Square Enix put out one game at a time? XIII has been how many years in the making?
hehe…
This one is another online version of Final Fantasy, so it is really the successor of Final Fantasy XI I am guessing.
What will happen to Final Fantasy XI once this game arrives? How many people are still playing FFXI?
I’m sure FFXI will still be there. Just like how millions of Koreans still play Ragnarok Online over Ragnarok Online 2
I’m getting the feeling that we are reaching the climax in MMO’s in the industry. I just do not think that many MMO’s can co-exsist at the same time if they are subscription based. Look at Huxley, they are going free to play with micro-transactions. I think this was a good move by them and I believe it will be the first true MMO game (with nice graphics and etc.) that will do free to play. Either way, I wasn’t too excited about this announcement.
CROM
I’m fairly certain FFXI will be around for years to come. Even after FFXIV comes out, there will undoubtedly be players who wish to remain behind.
Anyway, changing gears… Final Fantasy XIV looks amazing. I can’t wait.
