KONAMI Brings the World of Gorm to Life in an Exciting Action-Adventure Based on the International Toy and Television Phenomenon!
El Segundo, Calif. - Sept. 20, 2010 - KONAMI today announced the availability of Gormiti: The Lords of Nature!, a new action adventure game for the Wiiâ„¢ and Nintendo DSâ„¢ systems. Players can now play as their favorite characters from the popular toy and TV franchise at home on their Wii consoles or on the go using their DS system.
In Gormiti: The Lords of Nature! players guide four courageous teenagers - Nick, Toby, Lucas and Jessica - as they portal to a different dimension and transform into the Lords of Earth, Sea, Forest and Air. As the Lords of Nature, they are tasked to protect the peaceful island of Gorm and its inhabitants, the Gormiti. This time, the Lords of Nature must stop the evil Lord Magmion from finding a set of five sacred crystals scattered throughout the five domains of the mystical land. If united, the crystals could cause destruction and chaos on Gorm… and on the planet Earth! Featuring environments and characters from season one of the popular TV show produced by Marathon Media in partnership with toy line-creator Giochi Preziosi, players will quickly be immersed in the magic and lore of the Gormiti universe as they utilize each character’s unique abilities in their quest to stop Lord Magmion and his minions.
The Gormiti: The Lords of Nature! videogames feature a story and arcade mode that allows players to control each of the Lords of Nature within a group, utilizing the individual skills of each Lord to achieve success. Players can use melee ‘Super’ attacks, powerful long-ranged moves, and interact with special action points that take advantage of each Lord’s elemental abilities. Intuitive control schemes customized for each platform enable players to switch between their various skills and characters with ease. Story is told through gameplay and FMV sequences, which are voiced by actors from the cartoon show, and once unlocked, form a total of 40 minutes of action. Gameplay is enhanced as players find collectible puzzle pieces and Gormiti eggs scattered throughout each level that, once combined, unlock jigsaw and sliding tile puzzle games. These puzzles can be solved to unlock an interactive 3D character. In addition, the Wii version features one-touch jump-in gameplay, allowing a second player to easily join a game in progress at any time.
Gormiti: The Lords of Nature! is now available for Wii for $39.99 and for DS systems for $29.99.
