Madden NFL 09 Launches and New Cover Art Available

EA Sports released Madden NFL 09 today for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, and Xbox.  But, the game went to press before Brett Favre had decided to come out of retirement and join the New York Jets.  Luckly, Electronic Arts has made available new cover art you can download and print out to replace your Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PSP cover art.  I am not sure why they haven’t made available an alternate cover for Wii, Nintendo DS, and Xbox, but maybe they are coming soon???

Below is the before and after images of Brett Favre in his Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets uniform.

Also, Electronic Arts has made available the ability to download a roster update for Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Wii to add Brett Favre as the starting quarterback for the New York Jets.  This update will automatically download when you play the game online.  If you are not playing online then you can look for Brett Favre in the “NFL Greats” roster and transfer him to the free agent roster pool.  Once you have done that then you can add him to any of the 32 NFL teams for the 2008 season.
