As many of you might know, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata conducts occasional one-on-one chats with people working on Nintendo games and systems. The popular “Iwata Asks” series on Wii.com has included interviews with legendary Nintendo video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto about Super Mario Galaxy, and with Masahiro Sakurai, the creative force behind the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl.Today Mr. Iwata tackles what is sure to be one of the hottest topics for Nintendo in 2008: the highly anticipated product, Wii Fit. The first installment of a multi-volume series runs today. Wii Fit comes with the Wii Balance Board and is due to hit U.S. stores in the second quarter of this year. Wii Fit sold through more than 1 million units within its first month of launch in Japan, and it further demonstrates Nintendo’s belief in providing interactive entertainment that is accessible to everyone.

For anyone interested they’ve put out the second segment of “Iwata Asks” so you can get more information about the game and its development. Shame that it’s been delayed as I was looking forward to this after trying it out at E3.
