In a recent issue of Famitsu magazine, Sega announced that an enhanced remake of NiGHTS into Dreams is coming to PlayStation 2 in 2008.
NiGHTs into Dreams for PS2 will be released on February 21, 2008 in Japan and retail for 3990 yen ($36). The game will also support 16:9 widescreen, have improved graphics, and contain bonus videos and images from the original game according to Jeux-France.
The release of this remake will come on the heels of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams for Nintendo Wii coming on December 18, 2007. Hopefully the remake of NiGHTS into Dreams for PS2 will make it over to North America and hopefully give more exposure to the NiGHTS franchise like it deserves.
No details on a North American release have been made available as of this writing.
