Nyko Announces Intercooler TS for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

High-end Intercooler TS Series Introduced with New TempSmartTM Technology.

Nyko Technologies®, the premier gaming peripherals manufacturer, today revealed details for the Intercooler TS TM, the latest installment in the company’s popular Intercooler line of game console cooling devices. Unveiled today at the E3 Media and Business Summit, the high-end Intercooler TS series features all-new TempSmartTM technology that measures relative ambient air temperature and regulates air flow through the console in order to achieve an ideal environment. Available in versions for Xbox 360TM and PLAYSTATION®3, the aesthetic design of the Intercooler TS is specifically tailored to each console to provide a sleek-looking solution for maximum gaming performance.

The Intercooler TS easily snaps onto the back of the Xbox 360 or PLAYSTATION 3 and features powerful fans that move hot air away from the console. The PLAYSTATION 3 version offers a customized cooling option with variable fan-speed control, while the new TempSmart feature for both PLAYSTATION 3 and Xbox 360 versions automatically controls operation to ensure an optimal console temperature based on the environment. In addition, an AC power source has been added to provide a powerful, yet convenient, solution on all TS-series Intercoolers.

“After the success of the earlier Intercooler series, we wanted to offer our consumers a second cooling option for the Xbox 360, in addition to the PS3, with new features that have been in high demand”, said Chris Arbogast, Director of Marketing at Nyko Technologies. “The intuitive TempSmart technology is sure to make the Intercooler TS popular among first-time users and loyal Intercooler fans alike.”

Nyko’s Intercooler TS for the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 is expected to hit store shelves in September of 2008 at an MSRP of $34.99 for the PLAYSTATION 3 and $24.99 for the Xbox 360, while the Intercooler EX for Xbox 360 will continue to offer consumers a reliable yet affordable alternative for cooling their systems.
