Party Fun Pirate Now Available on WiiWaarrrrre

Gather Your Mateys and Swashbuckling Sailors for the Pop-Up PirateTM Based Videogame Featuring Multiplayer Gameplay.

LOS ANGELES - Ahoy, mateys! TOMY Corporation today announced that Party Fun PirateTM is now available for digital download on WiiWareTM for the Nintendo’s WiiTM system.  Based on the popular Pop-Up PirateTM toy manufactured by TOMY, Party Fun Pirate provides barrels of interactive fun for the entire family.  Featuring multiplayer thrills for the ultimate pirate-party, the addictive game also contains MiiTM support that allows players to use their own Mii character in the game.

“The addition of a WiiWare game to our existing library of high quality, family-friendly titles further underscores TOMY’s commitment to videogames.  With this release, we were able to take the essence of the popular Pop-Up Pirate toy and translate it to a completely new experience with different play patterns and social interactions,” said Kazuhiko Sugiyama, President, TOMY Corporation.

In Party Fun Pirate, players become pirates who take turns thrusting swords into a barrel that holds their black-bearded Captain captive, trying to see who can throw the most swords without harm.  The game features various adventures including a Pop-Up Party mode, where up to four pirates take turns at poking holes in the barrel, and a Pop-Up Logic mode, where a single mate competes in a race against time to find the bad holes before time runs out.  As an added bonus, players are able to unlock the ability to play the entire game with their own Mii character in the barrel.

Party Fun Pirate is rated “E” for Everyone and is now available for digital download on WiiWare for the Nintendo’s Wii system.  For more information, please visit:
