The mystery is over! NGames officially announce “Pockie Ninja” as the title for their upcoming anime-inspired MMO (previously known as “Project Ninja”).
In anticipation of their upcoming animé-inspired MMO, award-winning publishers NGames have finally thrown the secretive “Project Ninja” working title aside, proudly announcing the game’s official title - Pockie Ninja.
The announcement comes bundled with a host of goodies for anime and MMO fans alike, including exclusive wallpapers, 3D renders of two of anime’s most iconic figures, and a pulsating, action-packed trailer featuring a host of instantly recognisable characters.
Set for a Q1 2011 release, Pockie Ninja will feature some of the most famous characters to ever grace the screens of anime fans, including these renders inspired by Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyunga of the mega-popular Naruto and Naruto
NGames have released a bounty of new wallpapers to mark the Pockie Ninja announcement, each displaying the fun-loving approach that players can expect from the online game - poking fun at anime’s most infamous characters and paying homage to them at the same time.
The powerful Itachi Uchiha is seen using red contact lenses; Sasuke is crashing his car while playing on a mobile phone; and Jiraiya, Kakashi and co. are shown hanging out at a bus stop - Kakashi is even wearing a suit and playing with an iPad while he waits!
Today also sees NGames unleash a gorgeous, action-packed Pockie Ninja trailer, featuring iconic anime characters battling it out in high octane scenarios. Any anime and gaming fan will agree - this is a a delicious taster of what’s to come.
Pockie Ninja will focus on the unique life and journey of a ninja, entrusted with defeating the world’s most evil and destructive warrior corporations.
As the last hope of the world and the ‘chosen one’, the ninja needs to protect Angel City and restore the natural balance of order, utilizing extraordinary ninja skills along the way.
