The Official Pokemon of Japan Website has revealed that Pokemon Black and Pokemon White versions are coming to Nintendo DS in Fall 2010 in Japan. More information will also be released about them on April 15, 2010. These games will be the fifth generation of Pokemon games spanning the original Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS systems.
No release date has been mentioned for North America, but I would guess we won’t be seeing them over here until sometime in 2011. Additional info will be coming soon, but until then enjoy the two game logos above.

I can’t believe we still haven’t caught them all.
Some people are slower than others or they discovered new Pokemon that will be revealed in this version of the game? Will this game be an alternate black and white universe of Pokemon?
I am wondering if this game could be in 3D and be one of the launch titles of the Nintendo 3DS??? I think it would be cool if you could see your Pokemon battling each other in the palm of your hand in 3D coming out of the screens.
I am think about something like Eye of Judgment ( http://www.eyeofjudgment.com ) or Pokemon Battle Revolution, but instead of the characters being brought to life in 3D on your TV screen, they would be in 3D on your Nintendo 3DS.
I think this would be an easier thing to implement in 3D on the Nintendo 3DS than other games, since the characters kind of stay in one place while battling.
What do you guys think of this idea?
I could dig that, actually. The only problem is what else would be in 3D? The battles and what else? And if they did that, I think they might alienate a huge audience of people who only play on the DS, unless it would work on the DS just without the 3D effects.
True. It will be interesting to see how they handle 3D and non-3D with the Nintendo 3DS. I am guessing some games will be “3DS Only” games and they won’t play on the Nintendo DS, DS Lite, and DSi.
What if Pokemon Black is for 3DS and White is for DS?

I think they did something like that before with one of the Pokemon games. Wasn’t one version for the Game Boy Advance and the other was for Nintendo DS. I forget which game that was, but I think they did that before. Do you remember which game it was?
I would think they could make the houses and environments also in 3D on the 3DS and have you character running around in a 3D environment. I would think that would be possible and work well.
