Remington Super Slam Hunting North America and Africa Shoots Up Wii and PC

Top hunting manufacturer provides more than twenty weapons for hunts set in North America and Africa on Wii, PC and iPhone.

San Francisco, CA - November 10, 2010 - Leading video game publisher, Mastiff LLC today announced today that it has partnered with the Remington®Arms Company, the leading hunting, rifle and shotgun manufacturer in the world to publish the Remington Super Slam Hunting Series, an exciting new gaming franchise that will appear on the Wii™ system from Nintendo, PC and iPhone starting the second week of November 2010. The Remington Super Slam Hunting series will let players experience the thrill of hunting through locations like the woods of North America, the savannah of Africa or the tundra of Alaska as they track big game with more than twenty accurate likenesses of weapons, hunting gear and accessories from top manufacturers like Remington, Wiley X®, and Magnum Research, Inc®.

The first title in the series, Remington Super Slam Hunting: North America, ships to retail this week and will have players testing their skills at spotting, stalking and bagging big game such as deer, elk, bears and mountain lions.  Players can take on these large prizes by themselves, or join together with a friend to hunt animals through the woodland settings. Once a hunt is over, players can post their scores to an online leaderboard and receive medals and achievement awards, or challenge up to four players in multiplayer matches to take down the largest animal in the wild.

The second game in the series, Remington Super Slam Hunting: Africa, will take players across East, West and South Africa as players hunt down leopards, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes and lions, along with other animals and birds. Players can choose to team up with a friend to track and hunt on safari, earning medals or awards based on their progress. Challenges can also be issued to up to four players in a multiplayer versus round, with top scores getting posted to an online leaderboard. Remington Super Slam Hunting: Africa will be available by Thanksgiving 2010.

Remington, whose brand recognition is second only to Nike with sportsmen, is featured prominently throughout the Super Slam Hunting Series.  Whether players are looking for the power of the 870™ Express® Super Magnum Synthetic or the accuracy of the Model 7 Predator™ hunting rifle, players will see and hear accurate recreations of the latest Remington firearms, such as:

  • Model 7600 Rifle
  • Model R-25 Rifle
  • Model Seven CDL Rifle
  • Model 1100 Sporting 12 Gauge Shotgun
  • 887â„¢ Nitro Mag

Remington Super Slam Hunting: North America is being released this week for the Wii and PC for $19.99, with an iPhone version to follow.  Remington Super Slam Hunting: Africa is scheduled for release by Thanksgiving 2010 for $19.99.  The third title in the franchise, Remington Super Slam Hunting: Alaska, will release in early 2011.
