Sin & Punishment: Star Successor High-Scoring Champion Wanted, Prizes and Fame Your Reward

Nintendo of America has announced a special nationwide competition for its Sin & Punishment: Star Successor game for the Wii system. Partnering with Twin Galaxies International, the official worldwide authority for video game world records, Nintendo is challenging players 13 years and older to earn the highest possible score in the third level of Sin & Punishment: Star Successor using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. All entries will be verified by Twin Galaxies, and the player with the highest score will be awarded a customized plaque, two black Wii Remote controllers, two black Classic Controller Pro accessories, two Wii Zapper accessories and bragging rights. The winning score will also be submitted by Twin Galaxies for consideration in the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition.

The competition will begin today and end on Oct. 6. Throughout the competition, players with broadband Internet access can use the game’s online leaderboard to see the best scores and gauge how they stack up against other players around the globe. Developed by the distinguished Japanese studio TREASURE, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is a thrilling arcade-style shooter available now, exclusively for the Wii system. Players have the option of controlling their characters using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, the Classic Controller, the Classic Controller Pro, the Nintendo GameCube controller or the Wii Zapper. The original Sin & Punishment game for the Nintendo 64 console remains a cult favorite and has enjoyed a second wave of popularity via Nintendo’s Virtual Console service for Wii.
