I installed the Snap Shots tool today on DreamStation.cc and it is supposed to enhance links with visual previews of the destination sites, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace pages, IMDb pages and Amazon products, display inline YouTube videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more. If you hover over the little message bubbles in the links in the previous sentence you can see Snap Shots in action.
Sometimes Snap Shots will bring you the information you need, without you having to leave DreamStation.cc, while other times it will let you “look ahead,” before deciding if you want to follow a link.
Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.
I am not sure if I like these Snap Shots and that is why this is an experiment. Other sites and blogs on the Internet are using them and I thought I would try them on DreamStation.cc, but they may not stay for long. Check them out on all the pages on DreamStation.cc and let me know what you think below in the comments section.
