Special Jirachi Pokemon Distribution at GameStop

Two-Week Distribution Gives Pokémon Fans a Special Opportunity To Receive This Rare Pokémon Jirachi.

Jirachi Pokemon at GameStop

Calling all Pokémon video game fans! The Wish Pokémon, Jirachi™, will be available for distribution to Pokémon fans at more than 4,300 GameStop stores located throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Beginning Saturday, February 27 through Saturday, March 13, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo of America Inc. will offer players the opportunity to receive this special Pokémon that cannot be acquired through normal gameplay. During that time, Pokémon fans who bring their Pokémon Diamond Version, Pokémon Pearl Version or Pokémon Platinum Version Game Cards, along with their Nintendo DS™ or Nintendo DSi™ system (all sold separately), to a participating GameStop store will be able to wirelessly add this unique Pokémon to their Pokédex.

  • Who: All Pokémon fans
  • What: Jirachi distribution for Pokémon Diamond Version, Pokémon Pearl Version or Pokémon Platinum Version (each sold separately)
  • When: Saturday, February 27, through Saturday, March 13
  • Where: U.S. GameStop stores (including Puerto Rico)

Jirachi has the ability to grant any wish for just one week every thousand years and comes equipped with attacks such as Wish, Confusion, Rest, and the powerful Draco Meteor.   What’s more, this Jirachi holds a secret that will be revealed in the upcoming Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version games!  When you trade Jirachi into one of those games, you’ll be able to unlock a special Route inside the Pokéwalkerâ„¢ accessory — a Poké Ball shaped pedometer that helps Pokémon gain experience and allows Trainers to encounter special Pokémon and find hidden items, all as a result of walking around in real life. Obtaining this rare Pokémon Jirachi distribution is the only way the Route map for Night Sky’s Edge can be accessed.

This Jirachi distribution comes just before the highly anticipated release of Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version on March 14, 2010.
