Special Pokemon Pikachu-colored Pichu Distribution at GameStop for Nintendo DS

Two-Week Distribution Gives Pokémon Fans a Special Opportunity To Receive This Exciting Pokémon.

Pikachu-colored Pichu

For the first time outside Japan, a special PikachuTM-colored version of the adorable Pokémon PichuTM will be available for distribution to Pokémon fans at more than 4,300 GameStop stores located throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Beginning Saturday, January 30, through Sunday, February 14, The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo of America Inc. will offer players the opportunity to receive this Level 30 character that cannot be acquired through normal gameplay. During that time, Pokémon fans who bring their Pokémon Diamond Version, Pokémon Pearl Version or Pokémon Platinum Version Game Cards (each sold separately), along with their Nintendo DSTM or Nintendo DSiTM system, to a U.S. GameStop store will be able to wirelessly add this unique Pokémon to their Pokédex.

Who:

All Pokémon fans

What:

Pikachu-colored Pichu distribution for your Pokémon Diamond Version, Pokémon Pearl Version or Pokémon Platinum Version (each sold separately)

When:

Saturday, January 30, through Sunday, February 14

This unique Pikachu-colored Pichu comes equipped with attacks such as Charge and Endure, as well as special moves Volt Tackle and Endeavor. Of special note to game players is that this Pichu comes with the Held Item Everstone and is in a Poké BallTM known as the Cherish Ball - a special Poké Ball exclusive to Pokémon distributed at events.

What’s more, this Pichu holds a secret that will be revealed in the upcoming Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version games! When you trade Pikachu-colored Pichu into one of those games, you’ll be able to meet a new friend - Spiky-eared Pichu. The diminutive Spiky-eared Pichu, seen in the latest Pokémon movie, Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life, cannot be encountered without transferring Pikachu-colored Pichu into Pokémon HeartGold Version or Pokémon SoulSilver Version!

This Pichu distribution comes just before the highly anticipated release of Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version on March 14, 2010.

Cool. They have one in my town too, but never seem to go to that one. It is smaller than the others.

I usually don’t buy my games at GameStop. I have a tendency to buy them on clearance at Target or used at The Exchange, a used game and music store in Ohio.
