Street Fighter X Tekken Brings Ultimate Crossover to Stores Today

SAN  MATEO, Calif.— Mar. 6, 2012 — Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, is pleased to confirm that Street Fighter X Tekken is now available at North American retail for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. A version for Windows PC will follow this May, with the PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system game scheduled for the fall.

The latest addition to the Street Fighter® family, Street Fighter X Tekken delivers the ultimate tag team match up featuring 38 iconic characters from each franchise - one of the most hearty character line ups in fighting game history! With the addition of new gameplay mechanics, the acclaimed fighting engine from Street Fighter® IV has been refined to suit the needs of bothStreet Fighter and Tekken players alike. The power-packed game also sees the introduction of the innovative Gem system, a strategic new way to customize and enhance the fighting experience.
Street Fighter X Tekken also introduces an all-new Scramble Mode, where four separate players can control each of the four characters on screen, for the ultimate battle royale both online or offline.

The retail version of Street Fighter X Tekken will be the only disc-based version consumers will need to own and all future upgrades will come from post-launch DLC.

Street Fighter X Tekken is rated T for Teen by the ESRB and carries an MSRP of $59.99.
