Disney Interactive Studios has released the new E3 2010 trailer for the TRON: Evolution video game today that connects the storyline of the game and the film. The innovative trailer is being released in conjunction with Disney’s participation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Developed with visuals by Digital Domain, the company that is creating the effects for the “TRON: Legacy” film, this trailer does not show gameplay footage from the video game. Instead, the trailer was created as a unique piece of entertainment providing fans their first sneak peek at the video game fiction of TRON: Evolution which leads up to the events of the “TRON: Legacy” film. This trailer shows off the exciting action that fans will experience when they immerse themselves in the game, diving deep into a vast new world like no other complete with engaging narrative, complex mythology, high octane light cycle action, and high mobility combat - a unique mix of capeora, parkour and more.
The piece features the voice of Bruce Boxleitner as the character TRON, who takes the player through their paces and prepares them for immersion into a world they’ve never seen.
TRON: Legacy is a 3D high-tech adventure about a father and son (Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund) who embark on a life-and-death journey of escape across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous. Presented in Disney Digital 3DTM and scored by Grammy Award®-winning electronic music duo Daft Punk, “TRON: Legacy” hits U.S. theaters on Dec. 17, 2010 in Disney Digital 3DTM and IMAX® 3D.
