Zone 4: Fight District Leaves Beta and Officially Launches

El Segundo, CA - August 18, 2010 — OGPlanet, developer of the popular online action games Rumble Fighter and Lost Saga, today announced that Zone 4: Fight District, the free-to-play massively multiplayer online (MMO) fighting game, has completed its closed and open beta phases and is now widely available. Interested players are invited to head to the Zone 4 home page at http://zone4.ogplanet.com/home.html, where they will discover beginner guides, contests, in-game events and much more. A fast-paced street fighting game set in an urban environment with easy to learn gameplay and controls, Zone 4 combines the arcade style of classic games like Double Dragon and Final Fight® with the complex strategy of modern brawlers like Street Fighter® and Super Smash Bros.® Brawl.  Zone 4 also features an accessory shop where players can truly customize their characters with hundreds of cool costumes and exotic weaponry.

In Zone 4, players have the option to select from one of six different characters, each with their own traits and abilities, as well as one of ten separate fighting styles. OGPlanet will continue to add more fighting styles and skills through FREE updates in the near future.  Ranging from Taekwondo and Boxing to Professional Wrestling and even Dirty Fighting styles (such as Dirty X), players can tailor their brawling maneuvers to fit their personal tastes.  Plus, like other MMOs, players will be able to craft weapons and equipment, form street fighting gangs (Zone 4’s equivalent of guilds), and much more.

The game is set in a world where fighting competitions have become the most popular form of entertainment and sport combined. Fighting schools in rival zones train and pit skilled fighters against each other with the hope of winning the worldwide league tournament known as the Free Fighting Championship. However, the tournament appears to have a dark side, with rumors ranging from fixed matches to vanishing fighters swirling around the competition. Can players rise in the ranks as a new fighter, while uncovering and ending the dangerous secrets of the FFC?
