I am honestly not suprised about this. With the massive following of the GH series and the great reviews of CoD 4 (which I still need to pick up), it’s no wonder the company is doing well.

True. And now with the merger to make it Activision Blizzard it’ll only get that much bigger. I just hope they can keep up the quality of games that seemed to have bothered EA over the last few years.

Games like Shrek The Third and Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground probably also helped. You know these games are going to sell well even if they are good or bad. Though, supposedly EA took a little chunk out of Activision’s skateboarding franchise with their Skate game.

And Skate. was definately the MUCH better game. I have played both, and while Skate. is a little more “hardcore” and is not a button mashing friendly as THPG, it’s definately the better product of the two.

I played the demo of Skate and thought it was pretty good. I haven’t tried the new Tony Hawk game yet.
